Web-based Family Tree DNA Putting Down Roots at CyrusOne

Family Tree DNA, running a web site (www.familytreedna.com) with a proprietary application they developed, performs DNA testing for genealogy purposes. Anyone throughout the world can visit the Company's site and order a kit to collect material, which is then sent to the lab where the DNA is extracted and analyzed. Results are then posted to the secure site, which the customer is able to access using a unique ID and password. Users are able to evaluate a number of databases for matches for probable, recent, and deep ancestral origins by running algorithms developed by Family Tree DNA. The company's process is utilized by thousands of people interested in developing their family tree and by many who have hit a roadblock in their research in determining relations.
