CyrusOne To Address Energy Industry at Schlumberger’s Technical Symposium

CyrusOne, the leading data center services provider for the oil and gas industry, will address the invisible crisis the energy industry will face in their data centers over the next two years. More and more oil and gas companies are migrating to dense computing systems, i.e. blade servers for consolidation, virtualization and increased performance. However, this presents a challenge for the data center environmentals, due to the increased power and cooling requirements of dense computing servers, which are often overlooked.

Session: "Innovation Through Openness: Inevitable Crisis in the Data Center Industry " will be presented by Blake McLane, Senior Vice President, Strategic Business Development. McLane will discuss many of the challenges customers are facing with dense computing and the solutions that are available today. Also, McLane will recommend methods of preparing a data center for a dense computing environment.
