CYRUSONE DEMONSTRATES
CONTINUED GROWTH
WITH ADDITION OF MULTIPLE CLIENTS
Commitment to customer service pays
off as key clients expand services by 40%
Houston, TX,
July 21, 2003 – CyrusOne
(www.cyrusone.com), Houston’s
premier provider of managed hosting, colocation,
and managed services announced that several
new clients had recently signed on to house
their critical servers and applications
in CyrusOne’s 65,000 square foot facility
located inside the loop on the Southwest
Freeway. They also noted that several existing
clients chose to expand their services with
the company as a result of the company’s
experienced technical staff and commitment
to quality.
“Many of our new clients were having
various issues with critical applications
and were in need of a solution that would
enable them to provide reliable 24/7 service
to their clients. Others were looking for
a secure environment that would enable them
to comply with various federal regulations
such as HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley. CyrusOne
was able to provide them with the reliable
and secure environment they needed so that
they could concentrate more on their core
business and less on their IT network,”
said David Ferdman, CEO of CyrusOne.
Several of the company’s new clients
include:
- Crescent Communications/BLUEGATE, which
develops and operates voice and data connectivity
and integration solutions;
- DYONYX, a privately held information
technology and management consulting firm
with multiple clients across the country;
- Hanover Compressor Company, a global
market leader in full service natural
gas compression and a leading provider
of service, financing, fabrication and
equipment for contract natural gas handling
applications;
- Quanex Corporation, an industry-leading
manufacturer of engineered materials and
components for the Vehicular Products
and Building Products markets;
- RAIR Technologies, a provider of medical
transcription services to doctors; and
- Velocity Futures, a global futures
commission merchant providing traders
all over the world access to the electronic
futures markets.
While location, access
and reliability were important factors for
many of their new clients, Quanex Corporation
also took advantage of the company’s
other service offerings. “Originally,
we brought CyrusOne in to provide us with
a fully detailed network assessment to help
us identify security gaps in our network,”
stated Paul Giddens, vice president of human
resources. “We were so impressed by
their professionalism and competency, that
in addition to choosing them as our hosting
provider, we also engaged them to manage
and monitor the performance and security
of our network so that we could focus on
our business.”
CyrusOne also announced the expansion of
managed services for several leading clients
including two web hosting companies: Jaguar
Technologies and NetMaster Hosting. Additionally,
in an effort to accommodate infrastructure
budgets, a large Fortune 500 customer engaged
the company to augment their IT staff and
conduct Level 1 and 2 NOCC functions including
but not limited to, advanced monitoring
of their network, notification of system
alerts, etc. CyrusOne is also currently
in discussion to provide the company with
Enterprise Management services.
Despite the downturn in the economy, CyrusOne
has seen steady growth since first opening
its doors to companies in the Houston region
in June 2001. It is an accomplishment that
they attribute largely to their ability
to deliver effective and cost-saving solutions
to their customers, as well as their commitment
to exceed customer expectations on service
and ongoing support and responsiveness.
The company is
also proud of its renewal rate, which remains
at 100%. Clients like Greg Landis, CEO of
Jaguar Technologies, are enthusiastic about
the superior services and exceptional customer
service offered by CyrusOne. “CyrusOne’s
expertise and their level of commitment
to security and service have been instrumental
in our ability to expand our business which
has led us to triple our commitment with
them in the last twelve months,” says
Landis. “At Jaguar Technologies, we
believe that our relationship with CyrusOne
is an indispensable element in our growth
resulting in increased operations, production
and profits.”
