Houston-based Investment Banker Relies on CyrusOne Data Center

Houston, TX • August 20, 2002 • Simmons & Company International, the largest independent investment bank specializing in the energy industry, has selected CyrusOne as its IT outsourcing partner. CyrusOne's Enterprise Data Center in Houston currently houses Simmons' Web site and email servers.

Simmons executives considered building a secure facility and hiring an extensive IT staff to house and maintain its IT systems, but decided it was far more cost-effective to outsource. "We can now focus on our core business of making money for our clients, while CyrusOne manages our IT systems," said Schad. "We have to protect our customers, and CyrusOne allows us to do that cost-effectively."
